What is Sports Therapy?
Sports therapy deals with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of patients, regardless of age and ability, back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness. Various techniques and treatments can be identified as sports therapy; from the more traditional icing and strapping, to the more advanced, such as electrotherapy, ultrasound and shockwave therapy.
Whichever treatment you receive, due to our knowledgeable staff and in-depth consultations, you can be assured that it will be the right treatment for you.
We are able to combine multiple techniques to give you a lasting result. As well as general injury treatment and sports therapy, our sports therapists are able to provide specialist treatments; Muscle Activation, Deep Soft Tissue Massage/Myofascial Release and Exercise Rehabilitation.
Whats the difference between Sports Therapy and Physiotherapy?
This is a question we get asked just about every week…so while looking for the best explanation I found a fellow Sports Therapy clinic who I think explained it perfectly. Take a look at the link below for further information.
The clinic is based in Brighton and Sports Therapist Jamie Webb and Physiotherapist Mark Gilmore are both qualified in Muscle Activation so if you travel south here is a great place to get your treatment “away form home”…
